What we store
FreshFolio stores the financial data you choose to enter: fixed expenses, incomes, variable transactions, budgets, savings goals, and (optionally) bank-account links via Plaid. We also store profile data: your email, display name, avatar, household membership, and the preferences you set (theme, language, smart-bias inputs such as birth year, country and household composition — used only to compute peer benchmarks).
Who can see your data
- Household (General) data is visible to every member of the same household.
- Personal data (Personal tab — your personal budgets, expenses, demographics) is private to you and never shared with other household members.
- We do not sell data and we do not run advertising trackers.
Bank connections (Plaid)
If you connect a bank account, Plaid acts as the data processor for credentials and transactions. We store the resulting account metadata and synced transactions to display them in your dashboard. You can disconnect any account from the Investments / Accounts panel at any time.
Your rights (GDPR)
- Access — request a copy of everything we hold about you.
- Rectification — edit or correct any record directly in the app.
- Erasure — request deletion of your account and all associated personal data.
- Portability — request your data in machine-readable form.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@freshfolio.co.
Retention
Data is kept for as long as your account is active. On account deletion, household-shared records you authored are removed within 30 days; backups roll off within 90 days.
Security
Data is stored on Supabase (EU region) with row-level security restricting access to your household or to your user id. Passwords are hashed and checked against known breach lists. Transport is HTTPS-only.
